The United Nation host a meeting in order to review the Afghanistan situation

On Friday, 21 June the United Nation will hold a meeting . The agenda of the meeting is to discuss the current situation in Afghanistan and what’s happening there. The Security Council, a group that is responsible for maintaining peace and security, will arrange the meeting. At this time, Afghanistan is suffering from many crises such as violence and instability.

It is worrying to know that the Taliban has been invited to the Doha meeting. And also plans to send  a delegation to Qatar. It is also important to know that the United Nation has not invited a single member from Afghan civil society. This action raises a question of whose voices will be heard in the meeting. Furthermore, many activists, community leaders and ordinary citizens are included in the Afghan civil society. All of them play a crucial role in rebuilding and peace efforts.
